Doctor Who scarf

A friend once asked me for a Doctor Who scarf. I stopped at about 10 ft instead of the entire length. It was a simple single crochet and count the rows to change the colors. Each knit stitch from the chart is converted to one single crochet in my version

Here is the chart I found and used:

And here is the finished version for my friend. Sorry, I have not woven the strings yet.

Oh wow, damn that looks just like the original. How long did it take?
 
It took a couple of months, but I was working on 3 or 4 other projects simultaneously. The person I made it for was delighted with it.

my brother is a massive docrot who fan and he's gonna love this. How long does it take for a whole scarf?
 
The Fourth Doctor totally rocked this scarf! You can also see a similar scarf on Osgood in The Day of the Doctor (representing all the Whovians in the world, yay!)

The fan in me is so happy about this. it sure looks like it will take long to create this but looks fun! thanks for the pattern, will find time to start this scarf
 
I'm thrilled that my post will help you find a Dr. Who scarf. To me, that incarnation of Dr. Who is the one I identify most with.
