creating a lap blanket for my Meemaw

Hi! Anyone knows the dimensions of a lap blanket or a lapghan? looking to surprise her on her birthday.
also, any recos for a good yarn to use? Wish me luck!

That's so sweet of you to do that for your MeeMaw.

Most are about 36 by 48 inches. I prefer to use 100% acrylic yarn as it wears incredibly well, can be put in a regular washing machine, and can be drier-dried.

100% arcylics yeah for the win!! Best thing about it for me is that its washing machine friendly!! very convenient.

the rest of the replies say acrylics and to your surprise, I'm goona say acrylics as well, can't go wrong there
