there are sooooooooo many good patterns, you probably won't know where to start
I completely understand the frustration,Ravelry's keyword search can be unpredictable. I've found that searching for "lace crochet skirt," "motif skirt," or "circle skirt" on HiCrochet and DROPS Design usually yeilds good results. Also, Fosbas Designs has some great free skirt patterns.
