jjust wouldl ike to share that i tried it. But i think it works well on small projects like earrings or those tiny bookmarks. u can use a small hook around 2-2.5mm
has anyone tried it too and made something big out of it? let me know what you think!
 
@buuubbles embroidery floss for crochet is a neat idea but going big with it feels like asking a thread to lift weights, it might hold up for delicate pieces but for larger projects the tension might make it less fun unless you double up or mix it with sturdier yarns for stability, it's worth experimenting though.

tried that too, works alright for the little stuff like you said. I made some mini coasters once but I haven't gone big with it yet though, hopefully in the nearest future
 
I never knew you could crochet with embroidery thread. I thought you could only use strands to embroider designs on tea towels. At least my grandma used to do that.
