Okay so im pretty much a beginner into crocheting and i really like it, it feels calming. yesterday on amazon i was looking some yarn bowls and i wanted to ask if it really makes crocheting easier, faster or it's just another marketing trick? Im really enjoying this hobby and im not rushing anywhere just wanted to know is it worth it?

I have never used one. But I can see if you have wound your yarn into a ball, it would be helpful to keep it flowing through the yarn portal, and the ball can roll in the bowl without rolling away.

yarn bowls help to prevent tangles but if you have another effective method you do other than that, there's definitely no need. nice to have.

Looking at your repsonces, it seems like it won't speed things up but will make my life easier. Guess I'll order one, yay :)

It's not a must-have, but if you're enjoying the hobby, it could be worth trying out. Totally depends on what makes you comfortable while you crochet!

Yarn bowls help keep yarn tangle-free and maintain tension, making crocheting smoother. Not essential but useful if you want less hassle and a neater workspace.

I've seen some of those and they are sleek and nice. Then I have seen some that were like gargoyles that seem to have the yarn coming out from the gargoyle's nose.
