anyone ever tried crocheting with dmc embroidery floss? wondering what hook size works best for it and if it's even worth the effort heard it can be a pain to work with but curious if the results are cool any tips or tricks welcome

My granddaugher has tried making small flowers with embroider floss. She had to use one of those tiny steel crochet hooks. About a 10 or so.

Yeah, I played with DMC floss for tiny crochet projects like earrings or doll stuff. Used a 1.25 mm steel hook for it and of course, lotsa patience.

I've tried it beforem, doable if you ask me, but definitely more fiddly than regular yarn. A very small hook, like 1.5mm to 2mm, usually works best to keep stitches tight.

I remember my grandmother doing this, not sure the hook size she used, but I remember her using shorter lengths and running them through wax.
