Keeping my yarn organized

I started a temperature blanket this year, and I'm really loving it. The tricky part is storing all the different yarn colors so they don't get tangled or unravel. Right now, they're still in their original store bags, which isn't practical long-term. Any tips on organizing yarn?

You know what works wonders? Grab some clear plastic bins or a hanging shoe organizer. They really help you see all your yarn colors at a glance, and it's so nice having everything separated. Plus, using yarn bowls or even zip bags is a game-changer when it comes to keeping your yarn from tangling up

Yarn organization is mostly unnecessary, spending hours sorting is pointless. Just grab what you need and accept a few tangles; it makes the project feel more authentic and keeps things interesting

Thanks, that actually sounds doable, do you think it's better to organize by color, weight, or just keep whatever's easiest to grab? I'm worried color order might slow me down too much

That's a refreshing way to look at it. Maybe I've been overthinking the organization, embracing a few tangles could actually make the blanket feel more personal and fun to work on
