I'm 2 weeks pregnant and want to start making a blanket for my baby, something to remember in the future. Anyone here know what's the best baby blanket size?

which is it for? congratulations btw! if you want a playmat it's 40x40 ideally, then if it's for the stroller 30x40 is good enough! crib is something bigger? like 36x52 ideally.

You should never use blankets for swaddling, the baby can overheat! Only thin materials like muslin or thin cot sheet.

I absolutely say this and you should nevere ever ever use a blanket for swadling, no matter how cute it looks
