I'm 2 weeks pregnant and want to start making a blanket for my baby, something to remember in the future. Anyone here know what's the best baby blanket size?
thanks a lot! I think 40" is great. I want to make something memorable for my babyfor a baby blanket that's practical and versatile you might want to aim for something around 30 by 40 inches which is ideal for swaddling or covering a crib from my experience making blankets this size works well for newborns and grows with them through their toddler years hope you enjoy starting this meaningful project.
which is it for? congratulations btw! if you want a playmat it's 40x40 ideally, then if it's for the stroller 30x40 is good enough! crib is something bigger? like 36x52 ideally.I'm 2 weeks pregnant and want to start making a blanket for my baby, something to remember in the future. You should never use blankets for swaddling, the baby can overheat! Only thin materials like muslin or thin cot sheet.for a baby blanket that's practical and versatile you might want to aim for something around 30 by 40 inches which is ideal for swaddling or covering a crib from my experience making blankets this size works well for newborns and grows with them through their toddler years hope you enjoy starting this meaningful project.
