I've been trying to find a good Afghan hook and while looking for it i came across the Tunisian hook, and i was like sooo confused. Like, are these two the same thing or are there differences? Please anyone let me know because I've read so many different things on the internet and now i don't know what to do.

That's a common question that trips everyone up, so don't feel like you're alone. They're pretty much 2 peas in a pod, as "Afghan hook" is just the old-timey name for what we now call a Tunisian hook. I made the same mistake when I 1st started and bought both thinking they were different, only to find out I just had 2 of the same thing. 😅

My brain has been a mess since I first discovered this and I'm glad someone cleared it up for me, thanks @Sarah2001. The biggest kicker was that I noticed some price differences which got me even more confused! :)

Totally get that! The price thing threw me off, too, when I was starting out. Some brands label them differently or toss in extras like cables or fancy grips, which bumps the cost. Are you looking for a straight hook or 1 with a flexible cord for bigger projects? That can change the price a lot depending on what you're planning to make.
